A Christmas card to you all !

Ok, the studio is full of boxes of decorations, the old faithful tree is up, the lights are ready... had to buy some more this year ... and I've still not made a start on present shopping and sending cards ... as usual LOL. Christmas and the New Year celebrations and all the preparation that goes with it means it's a busy time for me, as I'm sure it is for all of us. So, just in case I don't get enough time to post or comment again for a little while... I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and Happy New Year. Thank you very much to every one of you for being so supportive over the last eight months since I started this blog .... I really do value you all... I hope to be back again soon with more right-brain development :)

  6. This is gorgeous. Just like your painting below, I really love this. I don't know but I admire paintings that are loose and with soft colors, which I myself unable to do. Happy Christmas to you and your family.

  9. Thank you Michael and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you also. You must be pleased with the way in which your art has developed in the last twelve months. I can see a quantum leap forward and this cards is testimony.Great composition, excellent drawing(especially the trees and fence line) and a convincing time and place feel about the work. The russets sit so well with the umber and sienna. Lovely cool green for the distant conifers peeping through the snow.Very well done my friend. Although I have stopped blogging I am still delighted to follow and enjoy. Roger

  10. Michael you are not alone! I haven't started writing Christmas cards yet, and I just found out that the lights for the tree don't work, so I have to buy new ones. The presents...still missing a lot. Every year I decide to start very early for the next Christmas, and every year I don't...you would think that one would learn..!
Your Christmas painting is really lovely, beautiful winter scene, just the way it should be. Love the steps and the persons getting lost in the horizon.
Wish you a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I so sympathise with your post of 19th. I am spending this eve catching up with a month's of posts - nearly 400 in my feed. I feel guilt when I don't post or visit others, but I think everyone understands. We just have to find a balance.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
